Sub-Teams

Students will be primarily involved in one or more of the teams, but everyone will help everyone:

Design  

These are the folks who design and build our robot (the closest thing to real engineering work in our robotics team).

Electrical  

Deals with wiring and oversees the transfer of power through the robot.

Manufacturing Team 

Mechanical generally handles inventory and build. Includes hands-on development of the robot itself.

Programming Team 

Code! Programming gives a "brain" to the robot, to make it drive, lift, shoot, and more! 

Scouting and Strategy 

Scouting helps determine the answer for all of the following questions:

How should we play?  How are other teams playing, and how should we adjust?  How do we pick a teammate for playoffs?

Outreach

How we, as the 4509 robotics team, can help serve our community!

Branding

Creates merchandise, flyers, and keeps the website and anything to do with the external image of the team.

Media and Business 

Covers pictures, social media, and branding.  Good publicity is fun, and it helps the team a TON!

During tournaments, we will have a driving team, pit crew, scouting team (leaders but all will volunteer shifts), spirit and other. 

 Parents are welcome to help us and support the kids! The easiest things are helping with food, etc.
